The Swedish passport production has been greatly modernised since last time I had to go through the palava. Now I have to live with the result of an on the spot photo, taken by the passport manager over the counter, very unprepared on a Monday after work. But only for five years. EU regulations apparently think you need to update your photo more frequently than once per decade.
