End of the holidays

The traditional leftover dish with a tweak: Three sorts of meat, onion and potatoes all cut into small cubes, served with fried egg, pickled beetroat and cold beer. Now I'm just waiting for my dear friend who lives on 'slipper distance'; a quiet Sunday evening with Beautiful J before a busy week begins.

Gone is all the Christmas decoration (at least from my flat) and I can't wait to buy the first bunch of fresh tulips. The pâtisserie has already replaced the saffron buns with cream buns...Christmas, New Year and Twelfth night are officially all over.
