Back in town, back on the dating scene

Is there a reason to become suspicious when a date suggests a gay bar for the first drink? I didn't think so, but my date did and apologised to forestall any unwanted reactions. One drink became two, gay bar was traded in for Spanish bar, tapas and Sangria. Don't know about the sparks, but you can't have it all in one evening I suppose!
